VISION

  To provide rural education system traditional values with modern ideas to motivate and enlightened morally supported. to service to the society support and encouragement among all the members in the Arignar Anna College to develop knowledgeable and prosperous society.

MISSION

  The institution aims at providing quality of education to develop the weaker section of the society needs of the library user with information resources in the digital era introduce new technologies in the library. To provide economically socially culturally to develop rural areas.

  1. A well stocked library is the backbone of any institution well spacious well furnished and seating capacity for the students.
  2. The collection of books 12000 as well as national and international journals 10 magazines 7 journals.
  3. More than 10 News papers subscribe to the library daily issues the college students subscription news paper
  4. The books are issued to all the students can take only 2 books with their ticket. Books are issued for 15 days.
  5. The internet facility available in the library
  6. Books are classified using “Dewey Decimal Classification” system are arranged in the shelf accordingly.
  7. The library with its open Rack system.
  8. The users to search a books author wise . Title wise . Subject wise.
  9. All the books in the library are bar coded.
  10. The library which contains e-Books e- journals and question papers of all the previously conducted university examinations of the courses.
  11. Digital library can be accessed on Local Area Network only.

General Instruction

  1. Student should maintain absolute silence and seriousness in the library.
  2. Library is open from 9.am to 5.pm on all working days.
  3. Identity card is a must for all library transactions ID cards are non- transferable.
  4. Personal books/ printed reading materials issued books are not allowed inside in the library.
  5. Time of circulation will be from 9.30 AM 5. PM.
  6. Three books are issued at a time of post graduate students one books to the Under graduate students.
  7. Books are issued to the members for 14 Days and can be renewed only once.
  8. A fine of one rupee per day volume will be changed.
  9. If a due date of a book falls on a holiday for the library. The next working day will be taken as due date.
  10. The entry to the library will be restricted to Arignar Anna College students and staff only.
  11. Any violation of the library rules and regulations will result in disciplinary process including cancellation of library membership.
  12. The use of cell phones in the library is forbidden.
  13. Users are not permitted to chew or consume food items in the library.
  14. Every user must return the books/ journals in its original place after its use has been served.
  15. Rudeness to library staff and other library users will be subjected to disciplinary action.
  16. Any damage or defacement of library materials is strictly prohibited and users found damaging materials will have to follow disciplinary procedures library users are to report any instances of such defacement to library staff.
